1-Morph Ex

DUE- Wednesday 9/7

In this assignment, you will familiarize yourself with animation tools, keyframes 1s/2s, and digital drawing.

  1. Create an image that is 1920x1080

  2. Draw one shape, object, item, or extremely simple character on it. Please do in class on 8/29 or at home and bring to class- due 8/31.

  3. Once complete, please upload your drawing to the course assignment drive.

  4. You will also be assigned one additional drawing from one of your classmates from this folder.

  5. You will animate from your drawing to your classmates, morphing from one object to the next, in the most interesting way possible. To do this you will have to identify key drawings and decide whether to animate straight ahead, or pose-to-pose using in-betweens, the timeline and onion skinning. The only restriction is that you start with your drawing and end with your target drawing. You may add other elements, but you must solve how to make them appear and go away- the only thing visible at the beginning/end should be the original drawings.

  6. There should be a MINIMUM of 24 drawings, however you may need and want to include many more.

  7. Please have these rendered out as movie files (.mp4) with compression to maintain an appropriate file size (h.264 compression)

  8. Once completed, please label clearly and upload to our class assignment drive.

Please upload in advance of class as they will be compiled into a loop. For this reason, late work cannot be accepted for inclusion.
