5-Visible Language Ex - Lip/Sound Sync OR Animated Type

DUE – Wednesday 10/21

Use Language and expressive animatin to communicate and idea. You may either choose ro do oa Lip/Sound sync animation OR animate type directly (or any combination of the three). You may use an audio track to animate lip/mouth/expression sync on/with a character, type, or object.  If you are more interested in doing an abstract sound sync, lets discuss your goals and options.

First, record or select your audio track. You are encouraged to record or find your own dialogue or Voiceover. If you do not choose to do this, additional Audio clips can be accessed via the website/husky ct shortly.

Second, Consider thumb-nailing, or sketching phonemes per performance beat, as well. Please have your reference footage/exercise rendered out as (.mp4/h.264) movie files and add to your personal folder. take reference footage and perform the dialogue for inspiration for animation if needed.

Third, Animate! Concentrate on the expressions, movement and/or mouth positions (PHONEMES), anticipation, action, and reaction of the character. Consider including the full body as part of the performance or to illustrate a full range of motion. Make sure any gesture you have is complimentary to the line being delivered or delivers your concept. Be sure to add some form of attitude and a head/body turn to this animation.

Please have these rendered out as movie files (.mp4) with compression to maintain an appropriate file size (h.264 compression).
