3-Walk Ex

DUE – Wednesday 10/5
-
Animate a basic walk cycle using the tradigital drawn method. Please be sure to include a full body/full range of motion. As you are learning keep the character in simplified form- character ranging from well planned stick figure, basic shape figure, or more developed characters are all acceptable- so long as the motion is both accurate and convincing as a walk cycle.
-
Play close attention to the steps toward completing this exercise, including: reference material & planning- both drawn, observed, & filmed, thumbnails, keyframes, xhseets.
-
You will likely need a minimum of 24 keys/drawings to complete, but please consider looping the walk cycle for ease of viewing.
-
Remember and observe, all walk cycles are different but you’ll likely find that they can be broken down in to four major poses. Contact, Down, Passing Position, & Up…important key frames for this will be somewhere around 1, 4, 7, 10 & 13 depending on the walk/person.
-
Please have these rendered out as movie files (.mp4) with compression to maintain an appropriate file size (h.264 compression).
-
Once completed, please label clearly and upload to our class course drive here.
